San Fransico is cold. Straight out.
I will not take back the fact that the temperature completely changed from when I got on the plane, and when I got off. It was chilly. And, you know Southern California gets pretty warm during the summertime, so the temperature drop was something I never expected. BUT I LOVED IT.
For this post, I’ll be doing something a little different than what I normally do. I’m going to incorporate the trip pictures while I write so the post is a little less dense in photos… but, let’s get right into it!
I had an amazing time in San Fran– mostly because it was nothing like what I had expected. At all. The culture and just the way of life there is so different and unique than where I live.
I’ve flown there multiple times, but never actually walked around the city. It was very different from the culture around where I live.
Funny thing though, I COMPLETELY forgot that San Fransico was still in California– for the entire trip. So, when we flew back, I told my friends, “back in Cali!!”. Of course, I was in California the whole time. I’m just completely oblivious when it comes to things like that. *cough* Ahem. Anyways.
The first place we toured was Lombard St. I wasn’t able to take any good shots of the street itself, because there were tourists everywhere, but the garden was amazing!
Otherwise, we were able to visit multiple different places in San Fransisco, and our hotel was close to the major sightseeing places like Fisherman’s Wharf, and the Golden Gate Bridge. We were able to walk the city, take Ubers, and also ride the wire trollleys.
And then, the highlights of the trip, in my opinion, was the Muir Woods and the Golden Gate Bridge. Of course, I guess I was the only one in my family who actually enjoyed the Muir Woods because I took too many pictures, but it was truly a magnificent, magical place. I took over 200 pictures. Aha.
Ah, the redwood trees were amazing! They are so much taller than you would imagine. The entire time I was practically looking up at the treetops. IT WAS TOO BEAUTIFUL.
Of course, it was such an amazing photo opportunity. To be honest, I was the only person in the family who really wanted to go for photography’s sake, but the pictures turned out wonderful so no complaints there.
Oh, and I don’t know how many of you read the entire title, but it said “a whole lot of Italian food.” Which was true. We ate Italian food about three times during our two day stay. Yeah. There was a lot of it guys. But it was good food.
Anyways, as it was my first time in San Francisco, I had an amazing time. If you plan on going there anytime soon, I would highly recommend it! The city has so much diversity and all in all I loved the experience. Even if it was full of tourists (including me since i was a tourist right) I would love to take a trip to San Fransico again if I had the chance.
I left my heart in San Fransisco… ever been to frisco? where did you sightsee? did you enjoy my photos? italian food… yay or nay? ever been to the Muir Woods? do you wish to visit San Fran? let’s chat in the comments!
hope you enjoyed. xo
