about the adventurist

hi there!

if you don’t know who I am already, well, my name is Sydney, a professional daydreamer and procrastinator, and the humble creator of The Weekly Adventurer.

I’m a passion-driven homeschooler who has a mind lost somewhere in space. And, am a lover of the sea, bookish things, fairy lights on Polaroids, and passion fruit green tea with boba. Most importantly, I am a daughter of Jesus, who gives me joy and comfort for my unknown future.

first and foremost, I’m a loved and forgiven daughter of the one true King. I pray to be a light for Him throughout everything I do. He has given me an uttermost hope that I plan to live for and help accomplish it. and, He loves you more than anything. awesome, right?

I am a bookworm at heart and a tea-loving plot-twister. I have had a love for reading since I was two years old, and I have never put down a book since. and… you guessed it! I’m also your fellow plot-twister, who is most likely found torturing my computer while I write my heart out through my plots or even poetry.

photography is literally my life. I’m that girl that never leaves home without a camera, whether it be my polaroid Instax Mini 6, Canon Rebel T6, or even my phone. God’s creation is so wonderful to photograph, and I hope to glorify Him by capturing memories of His creation.

I’m a very competitive dancer. dance has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am a regional competitor and national, and am also an aspiring ballerina en pointe.

I’m an artist who is quite bad at sketching. okay, not all artists can sketch, alright? I’m amazing at bullet-journalling, lettering, water-coloring, painting… but certainly not sketching. I, honestly, admire each and every one of you sketchers who have the patience to be so detailed!

I am an aspiring designer who likes to make things look nice with aesthetic graphics and pastels. my passions for design has been for almost as long as I can remember. and, no, I didn’t just love graphic/web design, I loved all aspects of design, whether it be fashion, web, or even interior. oh, and aesthetic graphics make all the more fun.

I haven’t been blogging for a long time, but I’ve come to love blogging, and love the amazing community I’ve come to connect with throughout these past few months. I started my blog around the end of July 2017– and I don’t regret it whatsoever. my blog has grown so much over these months, and ever since, it’s gained an extraordinary amount of 100+ followers! here, is my small corner in the blogosphere in which I like to ramble on life, photography, other random things, and make aesthetic graphics that hopefully make people smile.

connecting with each and every one of my readers is the reason I’ve kept blogging, and I, personally, thank each and every one of you for the encouragement you’ve given me to keep going. my mission through this humble corner is to inspire others through my ramblings and writings and pictures, shine for my Heavenly Father, and show you a few of the profound tidbits of my crazy lifestyle.

and, I think I’ve covered everything! I hope you were able to learn a little more about me through all that, and hopefully, I didn’t bore you as much as I thought I did. above all, do enjoy your time here, and stay a while, will you? oh, and since you’ve finished reading all about me… I’d love to learn a little bit about you! do we have anything in common? let me know in the comments below!

have a beautiful day!
